Eve teasers drive teenage girl to consume poison

A 16-year-old girl attempted suicide by consuming poison, unable to cope with frequent eve teasing she was facing at the hands of a group of boys near her home. The victim, identified as Veena was a first year student at a Pre University college in VV Puram. On Wednesday evening she had gone to pick her brother up from school, when she was followed and accosted by a group of young hooligans (names withheld) from the area.
