100 dogs shot dead after sledding business failed to take off

One hundred dogs were shot dead over two days in Canada, allegedly because an adventure company did not receive the boost it expected after the 2010 Winter Olympics. The dogs killed were part of the company?s dog-sledding events. Most died instantly, but others suffered, with one running away badly injured before being killed.
